Wow, this is a very interesting article in "Inside Higher Education" about science, creativity and art. Enjoy!

"H2O" Exhibit at the Old Forge Arts Center

Here are some photos from the exhibit. My colleague and fellow artist Tom McCarthy won Third Place. Congrats Tom! The large black and colored pieces are by fellow artist and associate of The Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts, Frank Wilcox. I really liked the shells piece (with transferred map elements on beeswax in the shells) by Sue Horowitz. And friend and fellow artist J. D. King looks up from the first floor to the loft/hallway in the new arts center. Very nice exhibit! Enjoy!

Invasion and other fantasies piece (11" x 14")

Greetings! I wish I had more time to share some thoughts about this piece; but I am really overwhelmed with my "real job" work these days to take the time. I did want to get this image "out there" though. More to come when I find a little bit of time. Enjoy!

two others

These are two other collages from "Le Techniques..." book. The colorful one is one of Pierre-Jean Varet (the editor of the book). The black-and-white one is from one of my favorite collage artists, Marco Modi (although a lot of his work is not B&W). Enjoy!

"Les techniques de l'art du collage"

I was so happy to return home from Arizona to find that copies of this book had arrived from France while we were gone. The book is edited by Pierr-Jean Varet and includes images of over 80 collage artist from around the world... including moi! In general, I am in great company; but I also was pleasantly surprised to find that since the artists are listed in alphabetical order, my image happens to be across the page from Jonathan Talbot's piece! I'm so happy to have been included in such a well-crafted publication. Enjoy!

Invasion series

This one is entitled "No, I haven't heard about any invasion" (8" x 10"). I am having fun with the "Invasion series" so far. The title of my upcoming solo exhibit at Arkell Museum in Canajoharie (June 3-July 29) I think will be entitled "Invasions and other fantasies". I'm really looking forward to seeing the piece hanging together. BTW, it wasn't intentional that my last two pieces have had a similar color scheme. I certainly like the scheme. Enjoy!
