So, this may be the last piece I complete at my home studio. I will be moving within the month (I hope... still waiting on the closing date), and have packed-up a good portion of the studio so far. This piece is an interesting diptych. The purple side was actually created in 2015, after I carefully cut-out the anatomical head on the reverse side of the page (that's the reason the title of the page is related to diseases of the muscles, instead of referring to the head). I was able to create the black-and-white side because I did the same careful cutting with another anatomical head this summer (which is the part of the collage I have on display currently, at the National Collage Exhibition). Again, the title on top has nothing to do with the head (it says "muscles of the foot"). And when I went to the store, I found (on sale!) a cool two-paneled frame. I think I will entitle this piece "Right brain/Left brain". My "soon-to-be ex-wife" said that it seemed appropriate for my last piece at this studio to include brain-related imagery. I have to agree. BTW, I suppose that, technically, I could say this diptych took 11 years to complete.
